Workforce governance is the framework of policies, processes, and accountability structures that ensure an organization's workforce decisions — including hiring, classification, compensation, and AI-assisted people analytics — are compliant, equitable, and strategically sound.

Question 2

Who needs an AI use policy?

Accepted Answer

Any organization using AI or automated tools in hiring, performance management, compensation, or workforce planning needs a documented AI use policy. This is required in jurisdictions like New York City (Local Law 144) and the EU (AI Act).

Question 3

What is worker misclassification and why does it matter?

Accepted Answer

Misclassification occurs when an organization treats a worker as an independent contractor who legally qualifies as an employee. Consequences include back-taxes, unpaid benefits liability, regulatory fines, and class-action exposure.

Question 4

How long does a governance engagement take?

Accepted Answer

Diagnostic audits deliver findings within 3–4 weeks. Full governance framework builds run 8–16 weeks. Strategy sprints are time-boxed to 4–6 weeks by design.
